If you'd like to add some sweetness or prefer a richer scent, try adding some vanilla, it's beautiful in any citrus blend and is said to contain insect repellent properties of it's own. DIY Insect Repellent Blend 6 drops catnip essential oil 8 drops bergamot FCF essential oil 5 drops Citronella essential oil 4 drops Pennyroyal essential oil 12 drops Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil Equals 36 drops. Add to a 1.5oz oil base to create a 4% dilution. If you'd like to strengthen it to a 5% dilution, use a total of 45 drops by adding 3 drops Lemon Eucalyptus, 2 drops Catnip, 2 drops Bergamot FCF and 2 drops Citronella (or your preferred combination).
