It is not mass produced, coming from family farms in rural areas of the Philipines far away from cities and pollution that goes with them, where the volcanic soil makes these organic coconuts some of the most nutritionally rich coconuts in the world. Coconuts are used fresh within 24 hours of harvest, shredded (wet milled) and cold pressed with no chemical or high heat treatment. The coconuts and farms are Certified Organic according to USDA standards. ORGANIC UNREFINED COCONUT OIL Due to natural occuring anti-oxidants, Virgin Coconut Oil has the longest shelf life of any plant oil. This coconut oil has been reported to improve skin tone. Containing no trans fatty acids, Virgin Coconut Oil is a saturated fat consisting primarily of medium chain fatty acids (MCTs), not easily oxidized and does not cause aging free radical damage like polyunsaturated vegetable oils.
